The Department of Information Technology was established in 2023 with the objective of imparting quality education in the field of Information Technology. Since its inception, the department has expanded and grown in terms of dissemination of knowledge within and outside curriculum and skill development activities. The Curriculum review and modernization of the labs are conducted constantly so as to keep the students updated with the latest trends at the global level. The Laboratories are well equipped with all modern electronic audio-visual facilities.
To provide leading Technologies in Information Technology & Computer Science fields to our graduates to be globally recognized as innovative computing professionals.
M1. The Department of Information Technology is dedicated to produce Software Engineers with basic knowledge in math develop problem solving skills necessary for the career advancement in Computer Science / IT & allied disciplines, and practice.
M2. Produce engineers with a strong practical and theoretical exposure in the relevant disciplines, who are able to contribute to society through innovation enterprise and leadership.
M3. Nurture engineer with a global outlook and to provide technological leadership through necessary technical tools.

Mr.Akilan A is currently the Head of the Department for the Department of Computer Science and Engineering. He is responsible for the activities, responsibilities and achievements for the Department of Computer Science and Engineering. He is working as a teaching professional with over 15 years of experience.
In 2005, he received his degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Anna University. He received his degree in 2009 after completing his postgraduate studies at Anna University's Department of Computer Science and Engineering. Currently pursuing a Ph.D.
His core areas of interest in the academics are Theory of Computation, Compiler Design, Computer Networks, Operating System, Computer Architecture and many fields in connection to these areas. Apart from this he had presented so many research papers in National and International conferences. He also has Life Time Membership in Indian Society for Technical Education (MISTE).
