The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) at MRK Institute of Technology is committed to shaping competent, innovative, and socially responsible electrical engineers. EEE is a core engineering discipline that deals with the generation, transmission, distribution, control, and utilization of electrical energy. The department equips students with knowledge in modern technologies including power systems, electrical machines, control systems, power electronics, renewable energy, embedded systems, and smart grid technologies. The department maintains strong industry collaborations, provides hands-on project experience, and ensures holistic development through workshops, seminars, internships, and research activities. Graduates from the EEE department are trained to excel in diverse sectors such as power industries, automation industries, energy sectors, manufacturing, IT, and research organizations.

Associate Professor and Head - Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering
Dr. N. Hemalatha is an Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at M.R.K Institute of Technology, Kattumannarkoil, Cuddalore district, Tamilnadu, India.
She has completed her Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering in the year 2020 at Alagappa Chettiar Government College of Engineering and Technology, Karaikudi from Anna University, Chennai. She has completed her M.E. in Power Electronics and Drives in the year 2008 at College of Engineering, Guindy from Anna University, Chennai. She did her B.E. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering in the year 1999 at Adhiparasakthi Engineering College, Melmaruvathur from Madras University, Chennai.
She is a recognized Anna University research supervisor. She has more than 20 years of teaching and research experience. She has publications in refereed science indexed international journals, Scopus indexed conferences and Patents to her credit.
She is a Life Member of ISTE. Her research interests include Renewable Energy, PMBLDC Motors, Robotics and Artificial Intelligence.
